«What is your dream?»
«In fact, I have two main dreams.
First, that mankind, that is the 6 billion human beings of this earth, can live in peace in a community and a society of compassion along with a healthy planet. Among these 6 billion human beings, I think over a billion are deemed believers. So that all these believers live in mutual respect and do walk altogether by sharing a peaceful world and a healthy environment.
These are my main wishes.
As for Tibet, and the tibetan nation in particular which shares a long history, a unique heritage, a buddhist culture and remains a compassionate people, everything must be done so that this culture be preserved throughout the world.
There lies my main worry.
Here is my favourite prayer :
As long as space endures
As long as suffering sentient beings remain
May I too abide
To dispel the miseries of the world.
So, therefore, till my last breathing, I always wish to be of some benefit to others.»
«Do you expect to get back to Tibet some day?»
«Yes, certainly!»
